What is "Attachment Manager "?
What is Attachment Manager?
Attachment Manager is an add-on developed for Jira Cloud that allows you to store your attachments in JIRA records in a categorical and hierarchical file directory.
Why should we use Attachment Manager?
While tracking the issues on JIRA, attachments are added to the records by internal and external sources. Inevitably, a document management occurs within JIRA, albeit on a record/project basis. At this point, attachment manager allows you to categorize these documents kept on the records, to store them in a hierarchical folder structure in the order you want, and to download them in bulk when necessary.
While doing this, you can instantly create a category and hierarchy structure, as well as easily create templates based on Issue type/Project. With the template folder structure you created, your attachments will be categorized automatically for each record. Thus, it will enable you to centrally manage your file storage in the institution. Attachment search mechanism will help your users to find what they are looking for and save their time.
What do we expect from attachment manager?
Let's take a look at the Attachment Manager panel of the sale related record below. We see a record where the documents related to the sales process of a product are kept in a categorized way over the years. You can create the template folder hierarchy for your issue once and see the created template folder layout on the issue automatically.

Actually, Attachment manager doesn't just allow you to put the incoming document in the relevant folder for the relevant year. As seen in the example, it also allows you to manage the offer, purchase, license renewal and maintenance process of a product in a simple way under a single record. It adds simplicity and order to your JIRA. 😊 If you are adding too many attachments to your records or if the current attachment mechanism is not meeting your needs, you can try this product and provide a solution.
