Configuring the board

Open Settings from the navigation rail. Changes are staged until you press Save changes; Discard reloads your saved values. If you leave with unsaved edits, AKB asks before discarding them. Settings are grouped into three cards.

1 · Board data

• JQL filter - the base query that decides which issues appear. Your project scope (AND (project = KEY)) is always appended automatically and shown greyed-out beside the field, so a query can never reach beyond the current project.

• Test query - validates live and reports either an error or Valid query with the matching issue count; click the count to open those issues in Jira.

• Max issues - a stepper (in steps of 500, up to the cap) setting the ceiling on how many issues the board loads.

2 · Statuses to display

For each issue type, choose which statuses appear as columns - up to six per type. Statuses are coloured chips (by category). Key controls:

• Drag to reorder (the handle) - this sets the column order the board uses for that type.

• × removes a status; + Add status adds one (hidden once you reach six).

• Hide completed older than - a per-type range (1 week / 2 weeks / 4 weeks / Show all) controlling how far back finished work stays visible. This is the way to keep older completed work off the board.

3 · Card display

• Toggles for each card element - Priority indicator, Story points, Labels, Assignee avatar, and Reporter - control what appears on every card. Priority, points, labels and assignee are on by default; reporter is off.

• Summary lines - how many lines of the summary to show before truncating.

• Density - comfortable vs. compact card spacing.
