Getting Started
Advanced Kanban Board (AKB) for Jira Cloud gives you a single, dynamic board across every issue type in your project - plus sprint planning, flow insights, and privacy-first team motivation.
Install from the Atlassian Marketplace
Open the Advanced Kanban Board listing on the Atlassian Marketplace.
Choose a Jira Software site and select Start free trial (see the pricing tab for what happens after the trial).
Once installed, open any project and find Advanced Kanban Board under Apps in the project sidebar.
On first launch, grant the requested permissions. This one-time consent lets the board read your issues, statuses and boards, and make transitions on your behalf.
AKB now uses Jira Software permissions (boards & sprints) in addition to Jira core. If you upgraded from an older version, a site admin may need to re-approve the app once under Apps → Manage apps.

Find your way around
A slim navigation rail runs down the left edge of the app. Each icon opens a destination:
Board - your main Kanban board.
Backlog - plan sprints and move issues in and out of them.
Insights - flow-health metrics (throughput, cycle time, WIP, aging work).
Leaderboard - opt-in team / individual standings.
Gamification - project-admin setup for points, streaks and culture presets.
Settings - board data and card-display configuration.
Get started - the welcome checklist below.
Your site admin can hide some of these (see access below); the rail only shows the pages you're allowed to open. At the bottom of the rail: a light / dark theme toggle (your choice is remembered, and the board also adopts your Jira appearance setting on first load) and a Give feedback link to Werare support.
First-run setup checklist
Open Get started (the rocket icon) for a one-minute checklist. Steps tick themselves as your setup progresses, and you can also check them by hand:
Connect your board - point the board at your issues with a JQL filter (Edit filter opens Settings).
Choose your columns - pick up to six statuses to show per issue type (Configure opens Settings).
Turn on team motivation - optional; pick a culture preset (Set up opens Gamification).
Invite your team - share the project so everyone can jump in.
The Welcome page also shows which pages, if any, are restricted for you.
Controlling who can access the app
By default anyone with project access can use every page. A Jira site admin can restrict access per page - to specific groups and users - from the app's admin page (Jira Settings → Apps → Advanced Kanban Board Settings). So one person might see the Board but not Gamification settings. See Administration - Access & Site Settings for details.
That's it - head to the Board to start working.
